I just love imagining Reggie, Alex, and Willie goofing off while Julie and Luke are writing songs. Like Julie has spring break so they write for a week straight and when they go back to the studio, they get shouted at the second they try to open the door. And it turns out that the three of them had spent the whole week setting up a pyramid of cards that takes up almost the entire studio
Julie and the Phantoms episode 5:
I genuinely apologise for this but also I couldn’t help it
One of my favourite little Reggie-isms is him calling anything mildly remarkable ghostly. Just the whole ghostbumps and ghost pee thing is so cute to me, he just wants to make lil jokes about being a ghost and I love it
And there are two things I want from it. One is Reggie saying “ghost teleport” and Alex immediately hitting his head against a wall and going “what other type of teleporting would we do” because he’s so sick of it. And the other is Julie accidentally picking up on it. Like Caleb!Nick wears something fancy and kinda vintage and Julie instinctively goes “oh nice ghost outfit!” And both of them are just there like ,,,,, wait what
Reggie loves tagging along on Willie and Alex’s dates, mostly because they’re two of his best friends and their dates are always super vibey, but also because he’s got a secret drinking game. He takes a shot every time Alex gets flustered or Willie says something sweet then runs off, and he’s never failed to get drunk
Alex deserves headphones, Reggie deserves an entire pile of stim toys, and Willie deserves to hit Caleb upside the head with their skateboard
It’s time for the obligatory moment of silence for Alex and Reggie’s harmonisation that didn’t make it into the show version

This chapter ended up about 3k words longer than I planned, just a warning.
since there’s no news about a second season of julie and the phantoms, let me tell you how the original version ends.
the brazilian version was supposed to have a second season but it ended up not happening and i’m not sure why.
julie and daniel (luke) are in love, but they can’t be together for obvious reasons. in the original version we also have nicolas (nick) and julie really liked him in the beginning. daniel tried to break julie and nicolas apart but he knew that he could never be with her, and that makes her and nicolas talk about their feelings. they get together and i guess daniel thought it was the sensible thing to do because he didn’t quit the band. sadly, this happened in the last episode and we never got to see how things ended up after this

Starkid people! If you havent seen Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix yet i really recommend you watch it is so gooood like only just watched it on friday and i have pretty much completed my 3rd run through. It has amazing representation and a beautiful cast with beautiful songs and a beautiful story (Willex all the way bby)
