i just. absolutely love pokemas green for the fact that This version of him is so obviously matured as a person. like you can tell he’s still the same guy we knew back then but he’s grown so much and is willing to teach a thing or two to newbies.
he still carries this air of cockiness that can be rivaled by none but once you win the championship he’s filled with nothing but pride because “hey! that’s the trainer i welcomed into pasio!” he’s ecstatic that you’re growing into a fine trainer and even excited that you could become a new rival to him!
it’s so sweet knowing he went from “i’m better than you in every way possible Shut up [ignores all losses until the championship match with red] i’m the greatest” to “i’m so strong and it’s all thanks to red i wouldn’t have been who i am without him. i’ll keep training til the day i beat him and if this includes kickstarting other trainers’ passion for battling then so be it! i can teach them a thing or two along the way :)”
he exudes very Cool older brother/mentor energy in pokemas and he’s so very wholesome in the game. i love him so much
this is the reguri moment in masters that truly makes me lose my mind because he doesn’t even say red’s NAME in this conversation. he literally talks about red so much in this damn game that you don’t even need to be told who he’s referring to. sigh
