Reki: You guys have a futon here, right?

Langa: We moved in recently and I didn’t see anything like that when we were packing out.

Reki Kyan with a bilingual s/o

• You were first introduced to his class as a foreign student from another country then you were promptly lead to sit by him and Langa.
• He thought you were quite cute hence wouldn’t leave you alone.
• Then one thing lead to another and now you are deeply rooted as one of the most important people of his life and obviously his very much loved s/o.
• First time he heard you speak your native language you were on the phone with your mother chatting about something nonsensical like groceries being picked up.
• He wouldn’t have known, he couldn’t really understand what you were saying at all but all he knows is:
• He thinks you’re so cool.
• You. are. so. fucking. cool.
• How could you get even cooler?

• Of course he’ll pester you into saying certain phrases for him in said language. Who would he be if he didn’t.
• He’ll even try learning your language off a book or two but spoiler alert he will get very bored very fast and just give up two lessons in.
• Understandable.
• ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• If your accent lilts slightly on certain Japanese phrases he will hang on every word that leaves your lips.
• If your speaking with family in said other language with him around he will just stand around you with instant heart eyes.
• Langa doesn’t really know what’s the big deal because even though Reki is always slightly amazed whenever he speaks English, whenever you speak anything other than Japanese Reki looks so bedazzled.
• he’s so whipped for you.

• Langa thinks it’s really impressive though but his reactions stay usually internal lol.
• The day that Reki had to meet your parents he really felt like peeing himself because he was so scared to mess up his greetings.
• You had no idea he spent the entire week before the actual meeting memorising all he could with basic greetings and phrases of gratitude in your language.
• Your parents were well versed and fully fluent in japenese -hence you moving here- so there was no need for any translation on your part.
• But Reki wasn’t here just to meet your parents. He was here to impress them.
• And impress them he shall.
• homeboy practiced and he practiced well.
• ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
• He really pulled all the stops for this one. And not just in the lingual aspect.
• When first meeting even you were shocked at the proper hello that smoothly slipped from his mouth.
• There was no mistake or stutter in his words and you understood him perfectly well.
• You could see your parents eyes shine even when he quickly explained that he’s still no where near conversationally fluent but he hoped his wording was coherent.
• The rest of the meeting was spoken in japenese and even though it was the bare minimum you felt proud he took the time to learn proper bits of your language for your parents.
• Now all those skipped nights at SK8 made sense and you quietly giggled to yourself.

- reki would complain about how his hair are growing too fast(my gf have short curly hair and its happens ALL THE TIME)

- reki would call langa every morning to wake him up

- langa would send him cute tiktoks and reki would conplain bc he is bad at english.
