When she lived in Paris and Japan, she never had this problem before. Nayeon had never been shy to speak in hangul regardless of the time and place. Now, it baffled her how difficult it was for her to talk to some of the people she had encountered. Perhaps the thought of saying something wrong or offense towards a native speaker was hindering her from speaking freely. “ I am currently a college student majoring in Traditional Korean Music. I play the koto, and I am quickly learning how to play the gayageum. I started learning how to play the koto in middle school when I first moved to Japan. ”
