Dorian wants to know why Chetney is so mean to him
Something about the way Dorian and Cyrus described their upbringing–the struggle with duty, tradition, heritage, and family, how they can be sources of pride and identity, but how they can also feel like the most miserable, restricting shackles.
Something about how doubting, questioning, and leaving the ancestral home is common because everyone knows how stifling it is, but returning and conformity is always required in the end–no matter who you’ve become or wish to be.
Something about the way Dorian threw away clothes that made him feel like himself because personal identity isn’t allowed in the face of cultural duty–especially when your identity is not accepted in your culture…
Just something about Dorian Storm having been created and played by a person of color!!
