Mais si je vous cite quelques-unes de ses productions comme par exemple… je ne sais pas moi… ‘Company’ de Drake et Travis Scott ? ou ‘All Your Fault’ de Big Sean et Kanye West ? Ou encore ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’, le dernier single de Rihanna ? Ah ! Je pense que ça vous parle davantage !
Mais là vous devez vous dire « Mais attends, pourquoi il nous parle de cette WondaGurl ce zigoto là ? » En fait, WondaGurl, ou de son vrai nom Ebony Oshunrinde, est une beatmaker de seulement DIX-SEPT ANS ! Oui oui 17 ! Elle n’est pas encore majeure mais produit déjà pour des pointures du rap US !
Elle a pu rencontrer Boi-1da (le co-producteur exécutif de la dernière mixtape ‘‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’’ de Drake, et de quelques titres de Nicki Minaj comme ‘‘All Things Go’’ ou ‘‘Chi-Raq’’) et le rappeur Travis Scott, qui l’ont aidé à se faire connaître dans les coulisses de l’industrie musicale.
Cette jeune femme (qui poursuit toujours ses études au lycée) suscite un intérêt très fort, surtout dans la mesure où elle est signée chez Roc Nation, le label de Jay-Z. Elle lui aurait même produit l’instru de CROWN, de son dernier album Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Préparez-vous donc à une nouvelle WondaGurl SZN, ce n’est que le début pour elle.
JUSTINE SKYE • TUMBLR IRL • NEW YORK, NY • 1/20/18
Last night, Justine Skye (@justineskye) brought back Tumblr IRL to celebrate the release of her first album, ULTRAVIOLET, at Lightbox in her hometown, New York.
Justine joined Tumblr when she was 16 and developed lifelong friendships and memories with other Tumblr members who inspired her to follow her dream of becoming a singer. From meetups in Soho to making YouTube videos together to last night’s IRL, Justine’s Tumblr friends stuck with her since day one and are now her most loyal fans.
At the IRL, blank walls were converted to the visual storyline of ULTRAVIOLET, which is about a heroine who fights off bad relationships and survives on her own. Each song on the album was depicted through comic strips created by artist Yale Stewart (@jl8comic). To finish it off, Justine performed songs from the album for the first time.
At the end of the show, Justine came down to hang with fans and took photos, signed albums and connected on all things Tumblr.
Huge thanks to Roc Nation andNUDESTIX for making this night possible, and most importantly, to Justine for bringing her connection to Tumblr full circle through this IRL.

JUSTINE SKYE • TUMBLR IRL
R&B/Pop singer and OG Tumblr user, Justine Skye, is releasing her very first album, ULTRAVIOLET, next Friday, 1/19.
The next day (Saturday, to be exact), Tumblr IRL is making a comeback to celebrate Justine’s album with fans in an intimate album release party in NYC. As a special treat, Justine has partnered with comic artist Yale Stewart to perform ULTRAVIOLETlive, song by song.
