Hopefully someday I’ll find this one in the terrarium again when it is light out so I can get proper photos. Very unusual A. vulgare isopod for this area, being a greenish yellow tone. It’s much more skittish than the others so it might be months before I even spot it again.
During the summer of 1961, a Kentucky woman and her two daughters encountered an extraterrestrial being that has become known as the “Dark Baby” or “roly-poly.” It was said as a lumpy, flying creature that had a moist, tacky skin almost as if it were coated with tar.
The entity reportedly appeared in the bedroom of a resident of Rogers, Kentucky. The Dark Baby floated across the room towards the womnan’s sleeping daughter, who awoke in terror. The woman described a strange, psychic pull she felt from the creature, before it vanished.
