I made a book! ☺️ A while back before the lockdown happened when I still had access to my Rosie the Riso I’ve printed a bunch of riso prints from the life drawings I did at @royaldrawingschool . I was interested to see how the overlays and shapes and colour will work with human body. This week I finally collected them in a book and hand-stitched them with an open binding (or a version of that) and it holds together! The front and back covers are made out of the original drawings from the course. Sending this baby to the @lcc_print_workshop weekly challenge. . . . . #book #handmade #bookmaking #bookbinding #openbinding #riso #prints #recycle #risograph #lifedrawing #royaldrawingschool #springterm2020 #книжка #ручнаяработа #ризография #печать https://www.instagram.com/p/CAum5uqDf7e/?igshid=1f07xm2vh4kn2
I will be selling some of my recent prints as part of the #artistsupportpledge Please check my SALE story highlight to find out more about prices.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists have found themselves without work, teaching, technical support and gallery work. Exhibitions and sales have disappeared.
The concept is a simple one. Artists post images of their work, on Instigram which they are willing to sell for no more than £200 each (not including shipping). Anyone can buy the work. Every time an artist reaches £1000 of sales, they pledge to spend £200 on another artist/s work. Let generosity be infectious.
