Really enjoyed playing with cyanotype last week. Love the immediacy and the unpredictiblness of the medium. Next step would be to try to tint them with tea or coffee. Does anyone have any tips on hunting prints with natural liquids? And what kind of thing is better to use for the bleaching solution?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists have found themselves without work, teaching, technical support and gallery work. Exhibitions and sales have disappeared.
The concept is a simple one. Artists post images of their work, on Instigram which they are willing to sell for no more than £200 each (not including shipping). Anyone can buy the work. Every time an artist reaches £1000 of sales, they pledge to spend £200 on another artist/s work. Let generosity be infectious.

I’m currently busy with a few commissions, but have various in-house print releases lined-up over the next few months also. The first of these is “Saturnian Dawn”, an etching / intaglio print inspired by Japanese / Ukiyo-E aesthetics. A limited-edition of 45, these are now live in the S&S store along with a few other bits & pieces.

“Embers” is my latest print release, and the first edition to roll off the new etching press! This is a piece I created late last year, yet felt that it really needed to see life as an etching to give it the right feel…so I’m happy it finally rolled off the press as intended.
