Making sure the perspective lines are parallel and line up is a lot of work… `-` But it’s also satisfying in a way, I really want to get better at drawing hands and I think this helps a lot. They are certainly very boxy sometimes

I normally like to draw the models myself and then overlay the bones on them but at this point I’ve drawn these same pictures so many times that I think I’m just going to focus on drawing the bones the way proko says I should in the assignment, haha. Really hard as it is…the ulna and radius have slight curves that are very irregular and not symmetrical at all so this is pushing my visualization skills to the limit. They’re not perfect but it’s slowly getting easier

Preliminary arm bone studies! I started to do proko’s assignments but decided I wanted to do solo studies of the bones before I drew them over people just so I’d get used to the forms of them first. Now it’s draw them over people time ꈍꈊꈍ

Yet more neck studies. The two in greyscale are uh…mistakes. I chose really low res photos and had a really hard time identifying their colors lol ;-;… Back to proko studies! Time to learn about arms!! Exciting

More neck and skin practice \o/ Gonna do a few more, might take a day or two depending on how hard of a time I have with them since I’m trying some different lighting scenarios

Back to neck studies since I’d like to practice the variations depending on position of the head. Spent some time experimenting with skin painting again as well~

More Annihilation color/comp studies. Such a tasty movie. If anyone has other movies with similar pretty color palettes and lights to suggest please do, I need more to study and I really can’t think of any off the top of my head atm, it’s been a while since I watched. Now that I’ve gotten some of the itch to color out of my system…back to anatomy studies.

More lighting/comp studies from Annihilation (2018) because I love the lighting ~ I actually didn’t see the movie but I did read the Southern Reach trilogy. SUCH a good series of books, and the revelation about what the organism was at the end was so cool.

Composition studies that ended up turning into color/light studies instead hehe. Top studies are from the movie Annihilation, bottom studies are referenced from photos a cool dude named Joel took in an art discord I’m in. Doing them as thumbnails so I can do more of them without overrendering
