Another evening, the dawn of another day, and Control felt as if he were moving along at a rapid clip, almost able to relax into the closed vessel formed by each innocuous moment and to live there in blissful ignorance of the rest. Even though by now the disruption had spread, so that queries via walkie-talkie had become verbal miscues and misunderstandings. Listener and listened-to had begun to be colonized by some outside force but had not yet realized it. Or, at least, not voiced concerns for the camera. Control chose not to rewind these instances. They sent a prickling shiver across the back of his neck, gave him a faint sensation of nausea, increased the destabilizing sense of vertigo and claustrophobia.

Determined to keep giving myself time for personal painting/mess making. I’ve been reading the Southern Reach books and I think it jumped out a little on this one

More Annihilation color/comp studies. Such a tasty movie. If anyone has other movies with similar pretty color palettes and lights to suggest please do, I need more to study and I really can’t think of any off the top of my head atm, it’s been a while since I watched. Now that I’ve gotten some of the itch to color out of my system…back to anatomy studies.

More lighting/comp studies from Annihilation (2018) because I love the lighting ~ I actually didn’t see the movie but I did read the Southern Reach trilogy. SUCH a good series of books, and the revelation about what the organism was at the end was so cool.

Composition studies that ended up turning into color/light studies instead hehe. Top studies are from the movie Annihilation, bottom studies are referenced from photos a cool dude named Joel took in an art discord I’m in. Doing them as thumbnails so I can do more of them without overrendering
