Barbie’s longtime boyfriend is Gay? Some of her fans seem to think so.
The duo began dating in 1961. Obsessed with fashion, the two have had difficulty holding down jobs to pay for their extravagant life styles. Both have upwards of 50 different jobs in their resumes.
Over the years, Ken has adopted a number of different looks and hairstyles. But one thing is constant - he likes to show off his abs.

Ken also has several gay friends, including out lesbian Pussy Galore; closeted actor Rock Hudson, and astronaut Sally Ride.
This is just one reason why Women exercising is important, and exercising for other reasons than just to look pretty.
Of course, “Because I want to/like it/want to get beefy” are all valid, but I want to highlight this story as something that was previously barred from Women. When Women were able to have the experiences that Men take for granted, it had a net positive effect by opening up many more opportunities for many more Women who would go on to do great things, like Sally Ride did.
Following the Space Shuttle Challenger accident in January 1986, President Reagan appointed a Presidential Commission to investigate the accident. The fourteen members of the Commission included former Secretary of State William Rogers as chairman, astronauts Sally Ride and Neil Armstrong, and Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman. After months of investigation, the Rogers Commission identified the cause of failure as an O- ring in the right Solid Rocket Booster that ruptured due to the cold temperatures of the launch.

I just looked this up and it is (mostly*) true! The first American woman in space was Sally Ride in 1983. Here’s a picture of her in space communicating with ground controllers during the 6-day Challengermission.(Source)
Prior to her first space flight, Ride got a lot of shit from the media and remained remarkably calm and non-homicidal:
“No other astronaut was ever asked questions like these: Will the flight affect your reproductive organs? The answer, delivered with some asperity: “There’s no evidence of that.” Do you weep when things go wrong on the job? Retort: “How come nobody ever asks Rick those questions?” Will you become a mother? Ride and O’Shaughnessy co-founded the Sally Ride Foundation, aimed at promoting interest in science among elementary and middle school aged-kids, especially girls. But yeah, Sally Ride was not only the first American woman in space, but also the first and only known LGBT astronaut at NASA. And she was also a badass. (source).
