Even the most powerful man in the world had a weakness. It could be money, material things… even people. You were Nick Fowler’s weakness and everybody knew it. Most enemies would make a joke and say if someone wanted to kill him, they would have to while Nick was balls deep inside of you.
That man was powerless when it came to you, no matter how stoic he could be. He never told you no and when he did, it was for a good reason… most times. Only you could see through his bullshit and it was hard to bluff with you.
Nick had a lot of enemies that was for damned sure. But.. He was untouchable — until now.
You never thought you would see the day that anyonewould have touched him, let alone have him tied to a chair. It was the usual Tuesday and you were putting the finishing touches on your makeup when he called for you.
Your body was already on fire because when daddy called for you, you ran shamelessly. It didn’t matter if you were in the middle of a shower, you were prancing your naked ass down the hallway just to see what he wanted.
That was something he didn’t mind at all, he didn’t need to rip off any clothes to get what he wanted. But as he called for you on this day, there wasn’t an inkling that something was wrong.

A/N: This is Nick’s origin story in my mind. Hope you like it. I’ve been greatly influenced by the movie The Recruit, where all the accents are hilarious and there is a little (probably inaccurate) insight into CIA officer training. Nick almost tripped over his own feet when Tomás asked him the question. Tomás had been his recreation hour guard for over a year and had listened to him talk about you over and over in English. Nick assumed that his guard only spoke Spanish at the beginning, so he just rambled on, needing to get it out in order to hold on to whatever sanity he had left.
Nick had noticed however, that the small reactions to what he was saying increased, the eye movements, a twitch of the mouth when he said something funny, signs that Tomás may have been beginning to understand English. But he never spoke up, just walked alongside Nick, gun drawn, at the ready to shoot him dead if he tried anything.
Nick smiled at the idea that he wasn’t completely alone in this after all. He replied in English, to further Tomás’ education.
“Well, if she were here, she could probably answer that question better than I could. Of all the information I’ve gathered over the years, I don’t know why she chose me. I am quite unloveable.”
Nick continued walking and talking in English while Tomás deciphered what he said, and listened eagerly for any clues into this great historia de amor.
Even at the age of 26, you could tell that he would be an asshole for life. He was nice to look at, but damn, was he annoying.

And the animosity between them…it was everything! I could feel the tension in my throat.
“You want me to take control? Yeah. You’re a control freak. Always the best at everything and you can’t let me top you in public…”
Well damn, Nick okay, read me then sir…
OMG! That last part! The twist! A player gets played…yes! My mind is blown. That was excellent.
I also enjoyed the building with the characters, it gave the story more life. Her predicting who would wash out with Mace was super fun lol. So much work was put in into making this realistic, I adored the details about her training.
I can’t get over how incredible her dynamic with Nick was; I felt like I was watching a movie. Amazing.
