My greatest hope is that Cutie Pie’s finale will be half as good as SCOY’s finale and boy is that not something I thought I’d be saying 14 weeks ago.
I’m worried that Cutie Pie is going to have to rush the reconciliation to fit into the time frame. The level of miscommunication we’ve reached is critical mass and I am deeply worried.
But I keep some trust. I believe they can do this.

And the end of Secret Crush on You says exactly what the show has been saying to us this entire time… you are loved. you are worthy of love, you can love. you can love with gentle words and you can love with kindness and you can love with acceptance and you can love with softness and you can love easily. you can love even when you’re scared and you can love when you’re hurt and you can love because you are human and you are worthy. you can love, you will love, you are loved. let yourself be loved.
The handfasting, the blessing, the way Toh’s mother and the father love not just their son but all of his friends, all of their lovers, all of the family they’ve made and the love they’ve found and the way it is treated as only what is natural and right, to love them and support them and to show them how much they matter, to their families and to each other and to the people around them. They are told to care for each other, to love each other, to talk and to be calm and to let themselves just be in love and it’s beautiful.
I absolutely adore how brave Nuea is to try and speak to Toh’s father on his own despite his fears and how hard he’s trying for Toh and hos much he’s doing for Toh and it’s adorable I love him so much, what a good boyfriend. He just wants Toh to be happy and he knows that he has to have his family’s approval to do that and I just love that so much, that he tries and he tries and then everyone is watching them and Toh’s mom is the one that goes over and explain and they are just the literally softest boys ever this show is so sweet.
So, Toh asked a really great question in the finale about why Nuea loves him, and I wanna give my take on it, but first since all of us here saw that parallel between Nuea and Kiyoi, I think we first need to address the differences between them so we can better understand where Nuea is coming from and what he needs in a relationship.
