My poster for Sergio Corbucci’s “The Great Silence”. I believe it deserves a spot in the @criterioncollection.

Hanging out with mom.

Turned the horses from my last post into OCs! Their names are Franco (less spots) and Nero (resting head) named after my favorite spaghetti western actor! Most well known for being the original Django (1966).

Below is the Bald Face Twins’ father who I named Sergio. He’s a wild, rogue mustang who happened upon the farm Maria lives at, and the rest is history. In the end she didn’t want to leave the farm, afraid of the world outside of a fence, so Sergio left to start his own herd. While Nero is happy living alongside people and his mother, Franco has dreams of one day escaping and joining his father’s herd. (Been a while since I posted traditional art. Let me know what you think of this story!)

Camerata Nuova, Lazio, Italy. This town and its surroundings were used in a number of spaghetti Westerns, mostly by Sergio Corbucci, which supposedly took place somewhere in the American West or Mexican/American border area. Olympus 35RC on Rollei IR400 B&W film.
