my never-had-abs-before-here-they-come post more words you don’t have to read: usually I’ll stand there flexing around hard enough to make me poo LOL it was maybe a couple months ago I really stopped caring about the aesthetics of my tum tum and entire upper body. shoot, honestly, I just wanted to work on my lower bottom. then powerlifting became more frequent within my workouts and I got more on top of my diet it’s nice seeing how lean and “cut” I have potential be but on some real, I don’t think I’d want abs as an all the time thing… or at least this soon this is all really for weigh ins then I’m smashing down tons of carbs, yolo 15 down, 5 more to go. shanette’s never been more determined to sleep instead of life #shanesbrain + @gofitjo is basically inspo & gives me courage to spew my brains all over ig. hope you’re doing well!

the past couple months I’ve done a lot of personal soul searching and spending time alone to fully grasp what I’m passionate about, what makes me happy, what makes me sad, what makes me think, and just where exactly I am at age 21
sometimes I’m out a lot, sometimes I just want to be alone. sometimes I want to do and see everything, sometimes I absolutely don’t feel like talking or doing anything. I think that’s something I like to think of as balance. I used to have none of it (now I understand, not fully, why it’s important to have). I’m happy, I’m busy, I’m enjoying life. hope y'all are too ✨

with a lot of time spent practicing and progressing, my flexibility and core strength is definitely getting stronger. with the meet creeping up, I’ve also looked into functional and athletic training to keep myself lean and limber, aside from yoga. lately, it’s been hard to really crack down on my own training with so much going on in too little of time fitness has allowed me to grow in so many ways and has enabled me to reach out to others who are either interested in learning or joining me along the way.
