i just feel like people who call annakory “too violent” have a gross misunderstanding of koriand'r as a character, and very often try to push her into the aggressive/angry black woman stereotype. like there are MULTIPLE instances of kory in the comics only holding back from killing and violence because her FRIENDS, or most of the time dick, want her to.

case in point when franklin was killed: kory was ready to murder the person responsible but donna had to hold her back. when mirage captured her and sa’d dick, kory was ready to kill her and had to be cautioned more than once against doing so.

killing being taboo is an entirely earthly concept to kory - and one that isn’t even globally followed because there are various cultures and societies on earth that view murder as justified depending on the circumstances - and so expecting kory to vibe immediately with that is just so ridiculous?

especially knowing the culture of the vegan galaxy, more specifically tamaran where they’re one of the deadliest fighting races in said galaxy? NOT TO MENTION this girl has gone through all manners of torture, assault, abuse, and trauma from since childhood and has been straight up ending motherfuckers since she was before twelve. she is a WARRIOR.

and it’s also not like annakory was engaging in senseless acts of violence like a lot of people seem to assume. she only killed when she was attacked. only ever when she was provoked, just like comic!kory whenever she wasn’t on earth.

for god’s sake, people. pick up a goddamn comic book for once
