fwiw if anyone’s curious/desperate about the pill, i don’t have any health insurance and my rx for the pill only costs me $25 for a three month supply. i only need to get my obgyn checkup once a year and the script lasts for a year after that.
and if you’re nervous about the checkup, don’t be afraid ask about accommodation! my doctor prescribes me one (1) valium to take before my annual exam and it goes so much smoother, even with all my weird sensory hangups.
i’m on the pill for my PCOS and it’s done wonders for my mood and skin, in addition to giving me predictable, painless periods (the only “negative” side effect is that it’s killed my libido, but whether that’s actually a drawback is subjective). i really recommend you look into it if you’re curious… it IS doable without insurance!

re: “oh no the pirate show watchers are making it Weird”– i think feeling like the one moderately-well-adjusted fan trapped in an outrageously embarrassing fandom is a tumblr rite of passage. if you haven’t wrung your hands and bitten your nails in agony watching freaks cosplay your blorbos and do absolutely horrendous things in broad daylight, then you haven’t yet felt the full spectrum of human emotion. there’s no pain quite like it. many moons ago, as a high school freshman who was trying to be normal about homestuck, i had the displeasure of seeing the sharpie bath fiasco first make its rounds on this site’s once pristine and untrodden fandom fields, and so help me god all of you shall suffer in kind someday

my stupidest and most cringe fail gamer moment was when i first started playing elder scrolls online, and as a goof i named my username (wehavecamembert) and my character (henrietta wensleydale) after the cheese shop skit in monty python’s flying circus, because i like sheogorath and cheese and monty python… and then when i was doing the main quest and met cadwell i was like. hm. this guy kinda sounds familiar but i can’t quite place it
