MAMA LUPINE IS ADOPTED!
“After a year and a half an all of her kittens being adopted, Momma Lupine finally found her forever home. This is an old picture because I didn’t think to take one while she was exploring her new home. She will be an only kitty which she will love. Her new mom stays at home and teaches classical piano. She has a window perch in the bedroom which is heated. She will definitely be one spoiled kitty.” CONGRATULATIONS MAMA LUPINE & REBECCA AND YOUR NEW MOM!
Poppy Update!
Thanks Ian Somerhalder Foundation!
POPPY <3 UPDATE! (Thank You Ian Somerhalder Foundation) My foster girl’s forever momma sent me a text today with this photo and message… <3!!!! Poppy was rescued in February of 2013.
♥️Her original name was Dew. She and her sister, Gibby, were 4 months old at the time of their rescue. They started out with a different foster parent and eventually went to separate foster homes. Dew, renamed Poppy, was taken in by Michelle.
♥️ Poppy developed serious dental issues and stomatitis - uncommon but not unheard of for a kitty so young - that required a full mouth extraction - which was a delicate surgery because extracting all the teeth has a risk of breaking the lower mandible. Dr. Bigelow of Center Veterinary in San Diego did her surgery in February of 2014 and she came through it just fine.
♥️The Ian Somerhalder Foundation issued a grant to help offset the costs of her surgery and also featured her on their website as one of their grant success stories. She was eventually adopted by Casey in October of 2015.
Poppy Update: “Hi Michelle! I hope you are having a good holiday season, I just wanted to share this super cute picture of poppy I got yesterday, and yes they kiss allllll the time, sometimes they wake me up because they’ll be right next to my face in the middle of the night and decide it’s bath time lol.”
