Thought this was a pretty fitting card based on her character hehe. I’m no fan of Shadow Weaver but MAN the writers did a good job of executing her character arc. She basically got what she deserved at the end of season 5 but I STILL cried.

Catra remembers clearly the exact moment when she started to lose her. The night she was promoted Force Captain, Adora sneaked out of their bedroom. She wanted to investigate those visions she had while they were in the Whispering Woods, and although she tried to dissuade her, Catra followed her. That damn sword. That damn sword changed her friend, turned her into what they feared most, A PRINCESS. Adora said everything was fine, that she was still the same. But Catra was worried. So much so that she went to the last person he would turn to under normal circumstances: Shadow Weaver. She would know what to do, she would help Adora get rid of that infection, after all, she was her star student! She wouldn’t allow Adora to become the enemy. By the time Catra realized how wrong she was, it was too late. Of course Shadow Weaver would harness Adora’s power to her own advantage. Of course she would manipulate Adora into the cold and calculating warrior she always wanted. Now Catra wonders if it would not have been better for Adora to have been a princess. If only, being a princess, she would keep that Adora’s essence she misses so much.
