I started carving this Tree Kuksa / cup thing so long ago that I can’t recall how long it has haunted me… maybe two years or more (If you’ve followed me for a while you may have seen it in the background of other posts). Having returned from a week in the woods I’ve decided to try and finish carving it at last, along with a few jewellery pieces that I’ve left partially carved over the past few months.

Day 7 of #marchmeetthemaker ~ The less glamorous side!

I’m quite lucky in that weaving is one of the less messy craft processes, apart from some fluff off the warp or a box of dropped pins every now and then!
I usually work from home if I can when I get to the washing, pressing, cutting and sewing stage of making. This was a photo taken last summer when it was warm enough to work from the garden for a few weeks! ☀️
