Finished playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps and was inspired to try my hand at something different for a change. I feel a bit stuck in my art style so I’m doing brush tests with different brushes to figure out which direction I’d maybe want to grow in.
Tfw all your brush tests inevitably end up turning into fan art of the world’s second best sensei (Iruka is #1 ofc).

Also, of COURSE it would be these two who finally manage to drag me out of my art slump. I remember reading in the tags of some post that discovering KakaIru is akin to a proselytism and I feel like I’m living that experience. I am ✨consumed✨.
Also, used more Kibbitzer pose references to draw this. My favourite part is cutting out different ones and collaging them together to create more ninja boyfriend poses
These look like the orange hard candy we’d get at the corner store where you’d get a whole paper bag for like … 10 rupees? I made these by watching a video of a guy painting gouache lemons and then trying to recreate it from memory.
Exciting plans for the weekend.
I tried to challenge myself by making art that wasn’t… primarily pink in colour scheme, and I STRUGGLED Y’ALL.
So I cheated and managed to sneak a little bit in here but overall, I don’t hate it??? Also more typography fun!
Also the poem was Burial by Ross Gay and even when he writes about grief, his poems are joyous and it’s my favourite kind of poetry.
