rkyoona:

@rkwendy

Yoona had come to appreciate lunch breaks since signing with Nova. Before she became a trainee she could eat whatever and whenever she wanted. Now, her diet was limited and she had set times to eat lunch. She had started getting used to things now which is why she cherished lunch breaks. With the kind of schedule she had, she would gladly take any break she could get.

Today she was finally able to have lunch with Wendy and she was, well, excited. Not only had Wendy been the first person she had met when she first signed with Nova, but she was also her and*roma favourite. Yoona was currently waiting for the idol in a nearby restaurant. It had been some time since she had seen the younger and she was excited to catch up.

Now that promotions for “High Heels” were done, Wendy has more time to mingle with the trainees and check out some new faces. Today, she was spending lunch with Yoona. She’s a bit late as it is because of school, but she hopes Yoona understands.

She discreetly enters the restaurant and immediately spots Yoona. Wendy brisk walks over, trying not to draw any attention to herself. It’s not like AND*ROMA’s a household name yet, but she still doesn’t want people thinking she’s being careless. “Sorry, I’m late, unnie,” Wendy says once she gets settled on the chair across Yoona. “My last class dismissed us later than usual.” She sighs. Being in her final year of school is tough, but she has to keep pushing if she wants that diploma by next year. “How have you been doing?”

grateful.

“thank you so much!” chaewon’s cheeks immediately flush red when wendy invites her to actually sit with her. a meal with a member of her favourite girl group … yeah, maybe getting into nova over royal or kt was fate. never one to turn down an opportunity, and feeling much more confident because of their former meetings and after meeting sunmi, chaewon slides into place opposite wendy. “ah, i’d love to, thank you.”

“it went well! i suppose they were nice … actually, they didn’t say anything. i just walked in, did my thing and left. they only spoke to me when they offered me the contract. it was the, uh, star bright auditions from this year. they usually hold them every couple of years, i think.” she’d love to have been cast through some public, extravagant method like wendy on her season of the mgas, but it was probably better that it happened the way that it did. chaewon can guess that she’d probably have been edited into some sort of villain on the show if she had gone on it. “i performed a routine i choreographed to a little mix song a while back, when i was teaching a dance class! and i sang with it.”

Wendy nods as she watches Chaewon get settled across her. She rarely gets to meet the newer trainees, much less those who have been her students. The last time she met a trainee, he had scolded her to cockblocking his meeting with Luxe. He was lucky Wendy had been amused. She nods as she pays attention to Chaewon’s audition story. At least it hadn’t been as public in nature as the MGAs. “I’m glad you impressed them enough to see something in you,” Wendy says with a smile. “Those casting directors are hard to please.”

“Sometimes I envy those who got scouted privately,” she says with a laugh. “At least there aren’t expectations or presumptions of your character.” Honestly, she was lucky that she had only been edited badly for a short while not to affect her votes in the MGAs or her place in SN Project. Though she was amused at her editing in MGA5, which she supposes was warranted. “How has training been for you so far?” Wendy asks, redirecting the attention to Chaewon. “I get that everything can get overwhelming, but you’ll eventually get used to it.”

“Uff you’re right, she doesn’t really sound like a good mate if she would allow her husband to behead one of her friends, aye.” Well now this really puts a perspective in their current conversation. If there was one thing is forever embedded into him and his brothers’ personality, that would be their loyalty to their loved ones. More often then not the families they chose to be a part of and not the one they are born with. “Love your group, but the name is starting to take a different turn for me, Wendy darling.”

It all makes sense now, “holy shit, you’re right! Damn that did not click to me that the boy band is also another rendition of a greek myth.” If it looks as though Seokwoo was having an epiphany in the middle of the corridor along with one of the rising stars of Nova- that’s because it what is happening. “You know, you look like an Athena to me. I think you would have done her some justice Miss Gyeol. Also be that as it may, I think a healthy rivalry wouldn’t hurt all that much, in any case they would probably end up shipping you lot together with the lovely Luxe. You’ll have an epic ship name that’ll be for sure.”

“To be fair, Perseus chopped off Medusa’s head to save Andromeda from the sea monster,” Wendy says with a shrug. “Mythology is weird. Interesting but very weird.” She sniggers, watching for Seokwoo’s reaction. However, she can’t control her laughter at Seokwoo’s comment. “Oh well, it can’t be helped. It’s not like we chose it anyway.” She shakes her head. At this point, she has learned to just roll with whatever her friends say. It makes things more fun and less complicated at the same time.

Wendy nods, watching as Seokwoo gets enlightened. “Yeah, the sea and the sky, hence the brother and sister concept we supposedly have.” She shrugs. Nova hasn’t really done much with the whole sibling concept anyway, but she hopes that they do something soon. “It would have been fun to assign a god/goddess concept to each of us, but like I said, Luxe’s fan club would have had out heads.” As much as she believes in a healthy rivalry between groups, she doubts Olympia would have taken to them having a similar concept. “Luxe is on a whole other level. I’m not sure we can even touch them at this rate.” She playfully shudders. “It would be an honor to even be shipped with them, to be honest.”

chaewonrk:

grateful.

     for @rkwendy. ✨

as intimidated as chaewon is by the and*roma members, she does want to see gyeoul again. chaewon doesn’t really believe in fate, but she doesn’t exactly think it’s totally bullshit either. she believes in luck, and she believes in paths. like, if chaewon’s parents were still around, she’d probably still be living in london. she might’ve gone onto a singing show like the x factor, or maybe the producers her mother knew would’ve gotten her a role on the west end. that’s one path. if she hadn’t made friends with naeun in high school, she might have given up on performing altogether.

and, if she hadn’t gone to gyeoul’s singing class at the samsung speak up event, she might not have written down and*roma as one of her musical inspirations on her audition form. if she hadn’t, nova might not have taken a second look at her.

( unlikely, she knows, but she thinks that her listing and*roma on the form basically said that nova was her third choice of company, even if she didn’t realise it at the time. )

chaewon tentatively approaches wendy in the nova canteen, clutching her can of coffee in both hands.

“um, hi,” she says, lips stretched into a thin smile. “i … don’t know if you still remember me,” she’d remembered her before, and chaewon had been so impressed by it. “but i got signed to nova entertainment last month.”

Rest is welcome to Wendy, especially now that her final semester in university is starting. It’s almost weird to be thinking of today as her “last first day of school” in a long time. She never thought this day would come, but here it is. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye, but she’ll cross that bridge when she gets there. She finally gets back to Nova Entertainment, and the first thing she does is head to the cafeteria. She has not eaten since breakfast, so Manager Siwan will have to stop judging her for today.

She looks up when she sees someone approach her. Wendy remembers Chaewon from both the speak up classes and their impromptu meetup. The last time they talked, Chaewon didn’t seem to be associated with the company. Perhaps it happened sometime after that?

“Congratulations and welcome to Nova, Chaewon!” She says with a smile. “Come and sit with me, if you’re not busy doing anything else.”

Wendy nods. “How did the audition go? Were they nice to you?” She asks. She’s genuinely curious how all the newcomers made it to the company. “What did you do?”

rkxskm:

Dear Lord he was blessed to have friends that not only went along with his bullshit but also his random spurts of musing. “Yup, she also became good homies with the snake-haired lady Medusa and the god of parties and orgies, Dyniosus.” Wiggling his brows suggestively as he gestures towards himself when mentioning the mythical god of parties. “She is told to be one of the younger goddess, not entirely sure what her relationship with Morpheus though.”

He could see why they would all be considered a mythical greek goddess, not only in looks alone but talent and tenaciously hard-working that each members are. “But don’t you think that’s just lazy that you’re all named after just one goddess? couldn’t he have called you… the muses or something?” Referring to another mythical being this time more appropriate considering their line of work.  “I don’t know, I guess Andromeda is still hella better than Uranus. Pray tell who would rather be named after? Athena? Hera? Aphrodite?”

“Even if her husband Perseus chopped off Medusa’s head with Athena’s sword?” Wendy raises an eyebrow at Seokwoo for this. She just rolls with whatever he says. After all, she is used to it, considering who he’s related to and all. This is actually on the tame side of things, so she can’t really complain. At least they’re not starting any chaos this time, and no one will have their heads.

Wendy shrugs. “I mean, all the boys were named after Perseus, so it’s only fair we’re only named after a constellation as well,” she says. She allows herself to snort at the Uranus comment. “Had we gone with Uranus, I can already imagine all the jokes we’d be coming up with on that one.” She shakes her head, knowing the lack of maturity of people on stan Twitter. “Athena would have been good, but that’s just me. Terpsichore, the muse of dance, would have been fitting for Nova and all.” Another thought occurs to Wendy. “Besides, we can’t do the goddess concept. Luxe already beat us to that. We’d have become Olympia’s public enemy number one, and I would rather not have my Olympia paid membership revoked.”

Starter for @rkwendy

“Did you know it just clicked for me that your group is named after a constellation and former princess now goddess of dreams, Andromeda.” He mumbles aloud factually as he steps in beside Wendy, walking casually along with her as though he has been there from the very beginning. It’s been a while since he spotted one of his closest mates and Seokwoo is always more than happy to chill with her.

“What say you? Does that make you lovely ladies Andromeda’s nymphs or hand maidens?” Smirking coyly at Wendy as he steps in front of her and starts to walk backwards. Trusting her to make sure that he did not end up colliding into something. However, if Wendy does get annoyed with him, which is a high possibility since Seokwoo has that tendency to leave such an impression on anyone, then all bets are off.

Wendy can’t help the chuckle she lets out when Seokwoo drops the fact on her. “I knew she was a princess and a constellation, but the goddess of dreams is brand new information,” she admits. “I know Morpheus is the god of sleep and I think dreams too, but Andromeda? That’s new information to me.” She like to think she knows her Greek myths. Then again, it’s always interesting to learn new information.

“I would think that all of us are Andromeda,” she says with a laugh. “I just wish CEO Hyun Bin chose a woman who didn’t need to be rescued. There are many constellations that are tied to each other in concept. I just wonder why he chose the one that rescued and needed to be rescued.” She sighs. As much as she loves the group, she wonder whether it would have hurt their CEO to choose a constellation named after a more independent woman or something.
