Sterek AU: When Stiles left Beacon Hills to go to college, Derek swallowed down the crushing heartbreak and pretended to be happy for him. He wanted to give Stiles a chance to grow and find himself after all the horrors they had endured. Derek had to let him go. Several years later, Stiles is back in town and they find each other drawn together again. Derek is now faced with the same dilemma as before: should he continue to let Stiles have a good life away from the tragedy that follows Derek wherever he goes?
