A metal arm, Bucky notices. His blood grows cold like the ice in those unforgiving eyes staring at him.
“Steve?"
-All that glitters is not gold; sometimes it’s just a glowy capsule that projects you into a completely different dimension.
-“Marrying you was the best decision I ever made, you know? I don’t regret a damn thing.”
-“Neither do I. Look, I—I know I fall behind sometimes, trying to prove myself to you. But it feels worth it when I see you smile. Of all the wrongs in my life, you’re the one thing that’s right.”
-“Steve, you’re good enough for me. More than good. You always have been.”
“I’m overdue for a kiss.” Bucky slipped a hand around Steve’s waist. “It’s been so long.”
“I would’ve obliged if you hadn’t embarrassed me with your pranks last week.“
“I was playing around. Okay, alright, I apologize. Now would you just kiss me?”
Steve cocked his head, and without another word, he granted his wish. And damn, did he grant it well. Holding Bucky’s head in place, he mashed their lips together. He coaxed his mouth open with his tongue, licking the inside of his cheek.Then he suddenly pulled away, breathing heavily.
“That’s all you’re getting now, baby.”
“Wait, what?” Bucky said. “No, no, no. You’re not leaving me hanging. Come on, just five minutes. I can make it quick.”
