#story teller

LIVE

Saturday saw me write this definitive text…and I got to say I am trepeditiously pleased. A little over a year in the abstract making and I have a trilogy on my hands! Final word count was 300,074, with page # at 619 enough to see each book comfortably with 200+ pages – of course that’s just cursory, I still have the whittling and honing of editing to do and that always gives or takes!

Now I say…

The moonman gazes sadly down to the glowing earth below. So lonely in the atramentous sky. He longs to feel the warmth of the sun on his face, but she is so distant, and so often that jealous earth stands between them and casts his mocking shadow. All he can hope for is a glimpse of her shine. Once each month he receives her complete light, and the joy radiates from his full round face, a soft reflection of grace and elegance. How ungrateful, that selfish earth, so often blessed with her tender affections, which he has come to expect and, entitled, takes for granted.

NameSky Bruno

Location  Honolulu, HI

What do you do? I am Filipino, Hawaiian, Japanese, and Caucasian and was born and rasied on the island of O’ahu, Hawai’i.  I plan to major in filmmaking this fall at the University of Hawai'i, Mānoa.  My art [photography & filmmaking] has to do with preserving my culture and providing an accurate representation of it to the public eye. I wouldn’t consider myself to be creative. I am constantly reinventing ideas into something bigger and seeking inspiration from my surrounding community. I feel that creativity is more so a combination of hard work and learned skill vs. a natural knack for something. It’s the same picture format with a different story. I am a story-teller and have something to say through my art.
