Yarn Stitched Mario Maker Patches!!

It says that they’re going to do all the Mario Maker Sprites, in that case I’m getting all my Smash Mains!

This one in particular was quite difficutlt to create. I tried to learn how to render fur in Blender, but it kept turning out poorly, so in the end I had to graft in a lot of fur from other renders, and draw a lot of follicles manually in Photoshop. If anyone has any tips I’m all cat ears.

Lots of the fan art I make is just an excuse to listen to certain music on repeat. For this one it was the amazing “World Bowser” theme from 3D World. Here’s the process gif as always:
