Sometimes i take a drive around a city where i live to look for inspiration. Most of the times i look at houses and plants, they’re cool. Sometimes i look at birds, but birds are rude cause they poop on my car so i don’t like to include them in this painting.

Backyard painting 2

The weather has been really nice recently. Fall is coming and the last bit of summer is finally here. I painted my backyard to say goodbye.

I had some time to do a film study over the weekend. This is a still from one of my favorite film RocknRolla (2008) . This is the moment when Johnny Quid about to drop a speech to his friend Pete. I like the set up of this shot, the lighting frames his face and the cigarette on his hand. No emotion shown but it feels dramatic.

I have been noticing this type of shot where the light is reflected from the mirror to a driver eyes and help to bring out the focal point, mostly in crime fighting/thriller films.

The weather in LA has been nice so far, it’s sunny outside with a warm blue sky. It’s perfect for outdoor activities. Unless you don’t like the heat, you can also stay indoor with AC, that’s also very nice as well.
