Magnus beams at Taako’s little creations, fluffy and animated with his magic. He thinks about how happy he is, how happy Taako is, how happy they are together. The clouds pass overhead, and Magnus and Taako are in love.

Announcing: The Summer of Smooch!

WHAT IS IT?
The Summer of Smooch is a collaborative writing event for the Taagnus Fan Community! It’s celebrating Taagnus romance in the Stolen Century by highlighting 100 smooches on 100 planets! Participants will write fic about Stolen Century kisses to submit to the blog, and they will be posted over the summer!
WHEN IS IT?
Submissions will open May 1st! Fics will be shared all summer long!
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Create an original piece of fanfic describing a kiss that Taako and Magnus share during the Stolen Century. It can be a short fic describing the moment itself, or it can be a longer one talking about the situation leading up to it. Write about a single date, write about a series of events, write a quiet evening, write about an epic adventure… whatever your muse decides! You decide how your kiss will go!
You can also support and share Taagnus fics that are posted to this blog!
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
- Your fic cannot take place in a year that was featured on the podcast (the animal planet, the beach year, the voidfish planet etc), and should not span more than one year.
- Your fic should be at least 500 words, but there is no max. Write to your heart’s content! You may also write and submit multiple fics.
- Writing skill level is not judged, but you should have your fic beta read before submitting. Join the Taagnus Discord for a group of eager pre-readers!
- There does not have to be continuity between the fics. However if you want to work with other writers and have a continuity through your fics, that is also okay!
- NSFW and other sensitive content must be tagged appropriately and put underneath a readmore. There will be two separate AO3 collections, one for G-T fics and one for E-M fics.
I CAN’T WRITE CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?
Writers of all skill levels are welcome, but if you don’t feel comfortable making fic you can always create art! The focus of the event will be fic, but other fan content will be shared and supported as well!
You could also submit ideas for other people to use! Sometimes it’s hard to think of creative settings or scenarios, so we want to give people a place to share and browse ideas! Submit your ideas here, or browse the ideas of others here!
