Filtering Tags

Filtering tags obscures posts with certain subject matter. This applies to posts on your dashboard and explore page.

Filtering tags will also prevent trending topics to be visible, even if they are trending too.

Filtered tags are also known as blocked tags. You can filter trigger words( i.e. #gore and #tw), spoilers, and even post types.

Our community respects and understands how important tagging is. So while some posts may slip through the cracks, filtering tags is highly effective.

Here’s how to filter tags on desktop and mobile.

Desktop

  • Click the human icon and select “Settings”
  • Scroll Down to “Content You See”
  • Scroll down to “Filtered Tags” and click the pencil icon next to “You are not filtering any tags” to edit your filtered tags.
  • Add the tag you want to filter

Mobile

  • Tap the gear icon on your blog
  • Tap “General settings”
  • Tap “Content you see”

  • Tap “+New” next to “Filtered tags”

  • Type the tag and select “Add”

✦⋆⋇ Because I also write & draw NSFW stuff, here’s a direction for you who doesn’t want to see them ⋇⋆✦

  1. Go to your tumblr settings.
  2. Click Account settings.
  3. Click filtering.
  4. On the “Filtered tags” type “smut” & “NSFW” because I always tag my NSFW content with those.
  5. Or, if you just don’t like the topic of my fics that are incest, just type “tw.incest” or “tw:incest”.
  6. & Done! *:..。o○

Now, you won’t see any of my nsfw stuff or incest specifically ヾ(^-^)ノ
