Jelena huffs as she follows behind Tatum, having to sprint in order to keep up with his long strides. The cool Autumn air wraps around her, goosebumps popping up along her arms as the breeze picks up. So maybe forgoing a jacket wasn’t her smartest idea.
“Where are we going?” Jelena asks. “And why am I dressed like this?
Tatum woke her up promptly at 7:30, told her to wear workout clothes, and slipped out of her bedroom before she could ask any clarifying questions. And now here she is, on a freaking Saturday morning, speed walking across campus, just as clueless as she was 30 minutes ago.
“Don’t ask questions, just follow me.”
It’s the first thing he’s said to her since he woke her up. She’s making progress!
