Can y'all imagine the headlines after this? It’s basically one of the first times Bruce is spotted out in public. He’s just as much a cryptid as Batman, and what does the Prince of Gotham do in his return in the public eye? Oh yeah save a kids life.

There’s no way the media didn’t go nuts

I mean-

I mean they were probably more occupied with the fact that the Riddler strapped a bomb to a guy’s neck and made him plow a car through a crowd at the late mayor’s funeral and then blew the guy up, but I digress

I mean true

But also, they would definitely mention it. Probably not as a headline, that was an exaggeration, but there’s no doubt that they would find a way to fit Bruce into the article. One because it’s basically his first time in public since who knows when, and two because of the funeral and who it was for and who the kid was that Bruce saved/protected.

Then there’s those reporters who would focus more on the kid and how his father’s funeral was interrupted by a madman and he nearly died, it would basically be like another Bruce Wayne incident where all anyone would talk about was how he was an orphan and made him the highlight of news stories.
