‘"It’s an ornament,“ Theo said, still looking at it with a certain softness in his eyes that made Liam go weak. David and Jenna looked at each other before Liam. Their son was still gazing at Theo like he was waiting for him to say something, but Theo was for once in his life speechless. "Hang it up!” Jenna encouraged with a smile on her face, and Theo didn’t take his eyes off of it as he did. It took a second, but his eyes finally met Liam’s in the end. The air in Liam’s lungs was punched out of him at the look on his face. Jesus. “I just…we were looking at all the ornaments and I realized that you didn’t have any,” Liam explained sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Thought you should have a place like everyone else does."’
Theo wakes up slowly, but he doesn’t dare open his eyes. There’s a warm weight resting against his chest, a steady heartbeat matching his own, and he allows a smile to touch his lips. He thought that maybe he’d be used to this by now, but it never ceases to amaze him. The subtle scent of cinnamon tickles his nose as he inhales and he tightens his hold briefly on his partner.
“Go back to sleep,” Liam rumbles.
“Love you.” Theo whispers. Blurry blue eyes lift from his chest and a tired smile lights up the beta’s face.
“Love you, too.” A chaste kiss brushes over his lips and he hums, pleased when the other man settles against his chest once more. It doesn’t take much to fall back asleep, safe and loved.
I am proud to say that I am (mostly) done with all of my gifts for the @officialthiamlibrary gift exchange event! I had @flyde and I could not have been more thrilled! I tried my absolute hardest to do a little bit of everything for her because she is so deserving of it.

Summary: In a world ruled by different factions of the supernatural, Liam is prince of the werewolves with Scott, his brother, the king. There’s a problem rising in the kingdom, people are disappearing and there are whispers of chimeras taking people and changing them into monsters. As if that’s not enough, Liam has to deal with his feelings for his infuriatingly distant bodyguard Theo.
