#thomas astruc
I will not upload MLB drawing anymore.
When MLB episode 100 was aired, everyone was happy, but Korean fans couldn’t be happy. It’s because of the Rising Sun Flag. The Rising Sun Flag was used as a symbol of militarism in the process Japan invading Asian countries and starting the Pacific War. We didn’t want to take this case lightly. This is a matter between countries. So we (Korean fandom) politely asked Thomas Astruc. However, he blocked Koreans who inquired about him. I know and believe that he is not right- wing. However, his attitude toward fandom and his faith disappeared. This is the last time. Please share this post. Please help me so that I can see officials from other offices other than Thomas Astruc. I sincerely ask for it.
I really didn’t know this would happen because MLB’s first broadcasting country was Korea and a Korean company (SAMG) participated in it. That’s why I’m very disappointed. Please share this article and the 4 pictures behind it. Please. I really ask of you.
In case anyone wanted receipts
So he either lied or changed the story since S1.
“Exactly! You have to WANT to get rid of the Miraculous.”
SOS. SOS.
IT IS NOW CONFIRMED THAT VOLPINA IS THE ACTUAL SEASON FINALE.
Thomas Astruc’s explanation on why LB and CN cannot reveal their identities.
Wow, 500 followers. Once again, I’d like to thank everyone for helping me get this far in these past couple of months. I can’t believe my little blog has blown up this quickly. Whether you saw my first post in October or you just discovered my blog yesterday, thank you for choosing to follow me.
This was something I was originally planning for after “Queen Banana” aired, but because I’m not sure if it’ll air on the 4th, the 11th(AUTHOR’S NOTE: It was the 11th), or some other day, I decided to do something other than a character analysis. I chose to go into the lion’s den and address Astruc’s view of Chloe fans directly on Twitter.
And just to make sure you know I’m not making this up, here’s a picture of my menu on the browser version of Twitter. I censored my personal account because the one you’re seeing is a dummy account set up for this interaction.
This actually came as a response to an old thread that Astruc had brought up that someone had asked about Chloe.
Well, at least he’s admitting she committed treason, so I guess that’s start.
So I decided to bite the bullet and flat-out asked Astruc what his deal was with people who liked Chloe. Granted, I had to do a little butt kissing to make it seem like I wasn’t just one of his “haterz”, but I still phrased my question in a clear and simple way, without trying to insult him.
Astruc, in turn, ignored everything I asked and made it about himself, literally saying hewas the target.
Even though I said I liked Chloe’s arc and had a genuine question about what he had against Chloe’s fans in general, he shot me down. He made no attempt to defend himself or explain what about people who like Chloe pisses him off so much. He immediately made himself out to be the victim. I understand that there are people who have harassed Astrucandinsulted him personally in the past, but unless you know what kind of incidents he’s referring to, you would think he’s just making it up.
It’s despicable people like these are why Astruc is so hostile to criticism of any kind, and why he tends to have a “him against the world” mentality, no matter how polite people online can be to him.
So after that response, I pressed on and asked him why he felt he had to respond to anyone who addresses him like this, and we get a mind-numbing example of him having no self-awareness.
Again, if Astruc was simply an example of a creator who was unfairly harassed by critics, constructive or not, I would understand, but he constantly insults back despite claiming the opposite, especially when it comes to people who like Chloe.
That last one was literally the same day he claimed he “didn’t insult back”. But no, Astruc has never insulted people back before in response to negative feedback.
This is why so many people think it’s okay to personally attack Astruc, and while I can understand the reason, it won’t work. Antagonizing Astruc will only reaffirm his beliefs that all critics of the show are monsters who hate him and his family. If we want to make our voices heard, we need to stop with the insults and cite evidence to back up our criticisms with his work so he can’t ignore us or brush us off as “haterz”. We can’t just resort to “Thomas Ass-Truck” jokes and expect to be taken seriously.
I would ask more, but as usual…
Maybe someday, if we can focus on criticizing Miraculous Ladybug with more logical arguments that don’t involve personally attacking Astruc, we can have more intelligent discussions with the creator of the show.
But until then, this blog will make sure to keep a record of the immaturity of Thomas Astruc.
Thank you all again for over 500 followers. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you.
Mhhhmmm… Yeah, he’s right, he never insults people back… And this wasn’thumiliating this person in front of the whole fandom:
I mean… we can clearly see in this person’s reply that she/he didn’t feel humiliated/attacked at all. Nope. Nada.
I wish i had saved a screenshot of this person saying she/he wished that she/he had never made that tweet in the first place.
Astruc seems to forget (or not care?) he isn’t talking to adults all the time.
What frustrated me the most back when this happened was the reaction of most of the people. Cheering Thomas in a way that was as if they were hoping for a reply from him. As if that would grant them a new level inside the fandom or something.
A while ago i watched a video on youTube about narcissistic people. I think he falls in that category completely.
This is so sad
I am of the firm belief that the real reason Thomas Astruc retconned Chloe’s development is not because she is simply mean and resistant to change, but because he knew that if she became an actually decent person, people would start to root for her more than they did Marinette.
I mean, even when Chloe’s being an absolute monster, there’s still a pretty substantial group of people who are fans of hers. And I’d imagine that if she went through some meaningful development and used her power and privilege for good, that her fanbase would only grow (as it did in the short amount of time during season 3 when she did actually get some positive development).
Whereas, Marinette is already widely regarded as a terrible person and a shoddy excuse for a main character. Especially in older audiences, who sees her creepy, narcissistic, and generally problematic behavior as exactly that. I can only imagine how big of a hit her fanbase would take if they no longer had Chloe to be her polar opposite; the mean bitch to Marinette’s supposed sweet angel. If the show no longer had Chloe to Juxtapose Marinette’s “sweetheart” persona, a lot more people would see Marinette as the absolute problem that she is.
Thomas knew that. And instead of making the effort to make them both better people, he instead took the lazy route, and reverted Chloe to her season 1 persona; a bully without a cause. ATLA stands as proof that even the most stubborn and amoral characters can go through positive development if said development is written well. So unless Thomas is inadvertently admitting that he and his team are all shoddy writers (which I highly doubt considering the size of his ego), he has no legitimate excuse for this, other than he just didn’t want his (probably self insert) main character to look bad.
Luka and Juleka are indeed twins, confirmed.
Nope. He said he was two years older.
He even admitted later that he changed his mind after the tweet and changed in the show
(this was in response to someone asking about the age change for Luka, how he had tweeted before that he was two years older but now they’re twins)
I have seen a lot of people arguing whether Luka is older or twins and some people are confused as to why other people think Luka is older. It’s because Thomas astruc had said he was and changes his mind later on
So I haven’t watched the newest episode so correct me if I got the wrong impression (I’m going based on the posts I’ve seen here but this is what seems happened)
Thomas: this child who’s kind of mean because she’s been abandoned and forgotten by her mother who she adores, and was not raised properly but is learning and growing, is not redeemable.
Also thomas: look at this grown man who consciously chose to abandon his children and despite living right there, never chose to visit them or get to know them or even bother telling them he’s their father, now years later after being FORCED by his child (because he can’t just choose to do the right thing) to admit that he is in fact the father, now hugging his kid as if nothing happened! Look how cute!
Also also thomas: this grown ass man abandons his son, and emotionally abuses him, isolates him, can literally feel his sadness and does nothing, oh and is shocked when their is happiness in his house. Is willing to murder children and knowingly makes his son miserable and emotionally manipulates him for his own selfish reason and even seems to take joy in watching his son suffer (never forget chat blanc.) Isn’t he so redeemable!!
So according to thomas, children, CHILDREN, can’t learn and grow and change but grown adults, specifically horrible father’s who abandon their children, and sometimes are down for murder, are totally redeemable.
Also what’s up with shows like these always reedmeing the horrible father?? Especially children’s shows. Like no. Stop telling children to forgive shit parents that abandoned them.
This is it, isn’t it? This is how Gabriel kills himself. This idiot is really going to leave his son with two dead parents
