I haven’t personally watched the new Dragons TV show (honestly, I don’t think I will; I’m too partial to the original gang), but I’ve seen enough posts here to know people aren’t crazy about Thunder’s design.
Which is…understandable.
But I have a reason for why Thunder’s design is so…bleh. 1300 years has passed since Toothless’ time, so it makes sense that the Night Light would evolve (not quite sure why he’s still got such strong black coloring, as it would have been bred out due to continued interbreeding with the Light Furies, but whatever.)
But, guys, not all animals evolve cute.

Omens
Signs are always presenting themselves on the horizon for our interpretation. We look for signs that portend changes in weather and the ride ahead.
