Dragon 49 (May, 1981). Massive switching of gears from a run of bad to mediocre cover paintings to a freakin’ Tim Hildebrandt dragon. The painting, commissioned for the magazine, marks the occasion of a lengthy interview feature on Hildebrandt and his work. Its the first of this sort of article for Dragon. Big features like this are a rarity for the magazine, which is a shame, because they generally pull them off well.
