azvolrien:

I’ve never watched any Critical Role stuff before now so while all the long-term fans are having a great time pointing out all the references to other campaigns and so on, I’m just sitting here enjoying how most of the characters have your typical fantasy weapons - axes, swords, bows etc. - and then there’s one guy with a fucking revolver.

madam-o:

WatchedThe Legend of Vox Machina eps 1-2 (as an unitiated non-critter) and was like, “Ok yes this is good, I like it, but nothing I have to worry about getting obsessed over. Man I really do not want to have to watch hundreds of hours of DnD gameplay.” Then watched ep 3 and thought

Well, shit.

Episode 4 is a huge step up from the first three episodes, which I already really liked. Easily the best one so far!

The redemption arc for Marisha/Keyleth with The Legend of Vox Machina, watching new fans fall head over heels in love with her, completely understanding and empathizing with her journey, not a hint of the Campaign 1 drama in sight? That’s the good stuff

bisexualnoodle5:

I loved this detail right here, where Percy is so enraged to see the Briarwoods that his glass shatters in his grip.

And then a few minutes later, you see blood seeping into his glove from the broken glass, meaning he never unclenched his hands.

A great example of show-don’t-tell. He’s so incredibly angry at this whole situation that he either didn’t notice the broken glass cutting into his hand, or he just didn’t care.

7of-hearts:

tlovm absolutely nails the characterization of all the ladies of vox machina.

keyleth’s almost whimsical nature being undercut by her crippling anxiety. the moments where she’s free of that anxiety, moments where she doesn’t doubt herself because she needs to save her family. vex’s untrusting nature being challenged by this group of absolute idiots, her unconditional love and trust in her brother, how much she cares when she allows herself to trust people (take the mask off, darling). pike’s internal conflict over the correct way to be a holy person, learning to destroy that perception and allow herself to be both a cleric and a member of the aforementioned group of idiots.

what is a white haired anime boy without his requisite anime music video

Watching the The Legend of Vox Machina Watch Party and Q&A and Matt deadass teared up watching Keyleth use the Sun Tree to kill Sylas, he’s like “Hell fuckin yeah that’s my wife, look at her murder me. I love her so much.”
