I recently found Lucas’ customizable sim portraits, which are cool, and I thought they would be great to sell at the photo studio! But I wanted to implement some tweaks, so this happened!
If you’re not familiar with the object, you can add the UI portraits of sims to these pictures.
First of all, I changed the mesh to Clutter-a-holic’s square BV Travelposters, the frame is repo’d so you need the BV EP, or HugeLunatic’s base game version. I also made a standing version using a mesh by Karas and Keoni as a base.
I made the background recolorable, with a tweak that surprisingly worked. I made a couple recolors, but feel free to make more! The background on the smaller pictures are repo’d to the large one.
I also made a tweak that you can only add the portrait of sims who are present on the lot. I mean it was cool to add anyone, but it wasn’t very lifelike to me, so I preferred it like this!
Known issues: some hairs can appear a bit transparent, just like on the UI. This is something that cannot be helped, that’s how the game stores these portraits.
That’s it! Please tell me if something is not working, and I’ll try to fix it! :)
TheA-OK-Bloomer Vertical Garden (6 recolours) converted to ts2, with slots for Honeywell’s Garden Plot, a request by @dixtanau. (For some reason I can’t @ you?). The mesh was edited to accommodate the garden plots. The animations will be off, because the garden plot uses the in-game animations. So sims will (try to) dig a hole in the floor, instead of in the planters.
Someone asked if I could remove the backsplash from the Forbidden Fruit counter and woot it turns out I could :P It’s an add-on, not a default, and shares textures with the original.
I’ve only recently downloaded Murano’s reflective floors (with view interaction disabledby@honeywell-mts). I love grungy floors so didn’t think it would be useful in my game BUT I’ve discovered that reflective layers actually do great job at imitating ice surface. So I’ve made these two.
I converted the display from this set on aroundthesims and made 2 more meshes by editing it. Shelf parts are slaved to AL shelf and metal parts are slaved to the right one. Picture of slots and swatch is below.

The greengrocers I made was requested, and whilst I was packaging it up, I figured I’d also upload another of my community lots, Stillwater Center, which you can see better pictures of here
A few things didn’t get included, which, if you haven’t already got, you’ll need for things to show up properly;
Both lots use a fair bit of CC, and as I have all EP’s and SP’s, I recommend using Clean Installer I also made a few posters for the greengrocers, which I uploaded separately;

Technically I’m still 2 followers away, but I figured I could just as well post it now before I go to bed! You’ll get a nice early 20th century cradle converted from Bioshock Infinite, totally BG and totally functional, for only $400! I had to torture the cushions a little because the toddler kept sticking his head through them! And lots of thanks to Queequeg at GoS helping me fix the problem with its reflection.
Kalisasims requested it, so here’s the bakery sign I showed earlier.
It’s a recolour of the cantankerous splatters mesh with text that simply says ‘Sticky Fingers Bakery.’ I’ve also included the .psd, for anyone who might want to change things and make their own, and if you haven’t already got them, you’ll need thesetwo Simlish fonts.
After I went back to Sims 2 because Sims 3 is acting shitty atm (and I hope I’ll never open it again!) I finally decided to make a small gift for you guys! I hope you like it!!!
200 Random Paintings on the ‘Suspense’ Mesh Mesh by Maxis. Pictures by the creators on Shirt.Woot.
I think…I might have gone a bit overboard. Anyway, its everyone’s gain. :) Here are some random pictures I found searching the Shirt.Woot site that I discovered today. Kind of like Tee Fury I guess. This started with just an handful of pictures, and spiraled into 200. I was going to do the horizontal BV mesh, but realized I needed more on the Suspense mesh.
So, here we go! I actually took pictures of EVERY picture you’ll find in the download file. I used the single-tile for the previews, but I highly recommend using Buggybooz’s frames {as seen in the preview above}. You can see the pictures of all of them here on my LJ.
Files are all compressed. Normal TOU applies for all the people involved: don’t claim as your own, don’t upload to paysites or the exchange, have fun! I am not using the pictures for profit nor am I claiming credit for them. They were done by multiple artists on Shirt.Woot, and some of the designs on t-shirts can currently be purchased on that site.

Alright. Here is the megapost of all my current Gro Paintings up for grabs. I’m not going to put up previews of every single one of the pictures, because pretty much all of them can be found in the updates. The only ones that are not are the heir portraits. These go up through the last Gen 3 update. There are roughly 137 pictures on 192 files, so there will be quite a few duplicates throughout the meshes. Meaning, you may see one painting on “Transcendence” as well as a version of the “Collectable Travel Poster”.
The files included can be found on the “Suspense”, “Transcendence”, “Collectable Travel Poster”, and “The Family Portrait Collection” paintings. As a bonus, I’ve included handful of paintings I did for the Concepta family and the Foster family - two of my previous legacies. Those are all pictured below. See the information below the pictures for where to get the correct meshes to view the paintings correctly.
I initially hadn’t thought out uploading these, so the names are all done so they were easy for me to find. The files names state what type of mesh they’re on, so if you need to delete any that you can’t view, they’re relatively easy to take out. I’m also including the mesh for livingdeadgirl’s Collage Picture Frames for convenience.
The version of the BV mesh that the vertical and square ones is on can be found here at Clutter-a-holic. Don’t forget to grab the add-on pack by karaskaras here at Garden of Shadows. Might I also recommend all of bagfran’s frame recolors, cause they’re awesome.
I think I am going to start reposting lovely things I see people posting of themselves on Tumblr. Everyone should have a chance to admire what others want to share.
