Some time ago I had a dream where I was feeling really bad, and was just seat in a corner while ugly crying when Freddie Mercury in his yellow shirt and blue jeans came to me and whipped the tears out of my cheeks with a soft smile on his face. Then I asked him:
+ Am I a monster?
And he told me (using Lady Gaga’s slow voice):
- No my darling, not a monster, but a best. (Then playfully “grrr” at me) And only white people are afraid of beasts, people of color respect them and live in communion with them. It is up to you to choose how you want to live up your beast.
Anyway, this part of the movie made me very happy because it reminds me of my dreamed Freddie Gaga
I’m super excited that Turning Red is finally out.
I’ve been loving the shift in art style variations Pixar’s been taking since Luca & this film got me excited between the style, facial expressions, & the references to trends from the late 90s/early 2000s. I can’t wait to revisit my tween years
