I want to sit down every single person who supports amber heard or claims its “mutual abuse”, and force them to listen to the 6 hours or so of audio recordings on youtube that clearly show Heard harassing, insulting, mocking, talking over, and gaslighting Depp, essentially psychologically torturing him, as well as admitting to hitting Depp, throwing things at him, chasing him through the house, and severing his finger which almost killed him.
amber is not innocent and johnny is not innocent. but depp’s influence in hollywood and how he manipulated the PR of the case is undeniable, and the way he used his influence is deplorable. ask yourself, why do you adore johnny depp despite the fact he said he would drown his wife, burn her, and then rape her corpse to make sure she was dead? why are you clapping your hands and cheering for him when he wrote on walls with his own bleeding finger? when he already lost a trial in the UK where the judge decided there was substantial evidence to prove abuse? when he said amber was “asking for humiliation on a global scale and she’s going to get it”? when he regularly spent time doing drugs with marilyn manson, a well-known rapist and abuser? when he has been charged with assault multiple times throughout his life and probably will be again before long? why are you still a die-hard fan? why?
and why do you hateamber heard with a burning rage? why do you feel such vitriolic hostility towards her? why do you wish she was dead? why do you wish she would kill herself? why can’t you resist calling her a slut, and a bitch, and a cunt, and making fun of her claims when she had every right to make them? i am not saying she is perfect and i’m not saying everything she said was true (i wouldnt say the same about depp either). but she has been receiving and is still receiving an unprecedented amount of violent rage online that not even harvey weinstein received during his court cases. she is being dragged through the mud and hated upon even more than the most prolific male rapist hollywood has seen in decades. why?
you have been manipulated to have sympathy with depp during this trial. amber is not innocent and depp is not innocent. neither are perfect and neither should have to be ‘perfect’ to be taken seriously in a court of law. but you need to examine your feelings and wonder where they came from. why do you cheer for one abuser and spit on the other? where is the equality in all this that both feminists and anti-feminists are saying is there?
what depp and his PR team did to get the upper hand on social media and how they wielded this advantage will come to light at some point, and you’ll all feel like fools for falling for it so easily and willingly.
