#ukrainian embroidery

Many years ago I did a number of Ukrainian embroidery projects.  The top is a shirt I made.  The rest are bookmarks on Ukrainian themes from Top: The statue of the founders of Kiev (Kyi, Shchek, Khoriv and their sister Lybid) located in Kiev, Ukraine. L-R:  Козак Мамай (Kozak Mamay) a figure popular in Ukrainian folk art, the famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and his poem Katerina, and of course a stork - a widely seen bird in Ukraine.  And the bottom is just a village scene I created based on an old photograph.
