“It was a gift of sorts from my sister who passed before she was able to stitch it. I found it going over charts my sister meant to do. I believe she bought it to do for me as I have a number of squirrels that come to my kitchen window in search of nuts on a daily basis.
I used 36 count linen and two strands over two threads. I’m like using the higher count linen so I can end up with smaller stitched area for eventual framing. Those big jobs get pretty expensive.
I prefer to do the classic type of stitching rather than the elaborate works. Those big art ones are gorgeous but I no longer have the eyesight to sit and stitch them and the amount of confetti they contain is a definite draw back for me.”
