Ανταγωνιστικό πλεονέκτημα : Η ελληνική επιχειρηματικότητα πρέπει να εστιάσει σε ο,τιδήποτε είναι αποδεδειγμένα καινοτόμο και εξάγεται. Στην εγχώρια αγορά οφείλουμε να επενδύουμε στη συνεχή διαφοροποίηση από τον ανταγωνισμό, ενώ το προϊόν της επιχείρησης πρέπει να καλύπτει κάποια σημαντική εκπεφρασμένη ανάγκη ή να επιλύει κάποιο πρόβλημα. Από την άλλη πλευρά, όσον αφορά το ανθρώπινο δυναμικό, τα πανεπιστήμια πρέπει να αλλάξουν άρδην τη φιλοσοφία τους και να μετατραπούν σε εκκωλαπτήρια νέων “δημιουργών”, αντί για μαζικές γραμμές παραγωγής αποφοίτων, που είναι σήμερα. Η στροφή στην καινοτομία και στην ιδιωτική πρωτοβουλία είναι αυτή που εξασφαλίζει την επιτυχία, σε συνδυασμό με μία σωστή καθοδήγηση, που μετατρέπει το ταλέντο σε ώριμη επιχειρηματική δράση.
Competitive advantage : #Greek #entrepreneurship should focus on whatever is proven #innovative and #exportable. In the #domestic #market we need to #invest on continuous #differentiation from the #competition, while the #product should serve an important #need expressed or solve a problem. On the other hand, as far as #people is concerned, #universities need to radically #change their #approach and turn into #young creators’ #incubators, instead of being mass graduates’ production lines. The #shift in #innovation and private #initiative, in combination with a proper #guidance, turning #talent into mature #business act, will ensure #success.

Team leaves for UK with local formula car
The locally made formula-style sports car, manufactured by the students of National University of Science and Technology (Nust), left for United Kingdom (UK) on Monday along with the 31-member team from the university, to compete at the international formula student racing championship.
The Pakistani team will compete with 114 teams from various countries at the 16th International Formula Student Race, scheduled to be held at the Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, UK, from June 9 to 13.
The 600CC sports car, that can reach the speed of 120km/hour within four second, is named NAS-14, after the late dean of NUST, Naval Captain Nadeem Ahmed Shaheed. (more)

Pretty degree
You would think this pretty document, dating from 1551, is a charter issued by a duke or a royal court. However, it is a university diploma from the University of Aix. It was handed out by the chancellor to a student (a monk). How times have changed: it is a giant leap from this colourful piece of parchment to the printed piece of paper handed out by universities today.
