For Christmas I received a macro lens for my phone and I recently had the revelation that I should use it to take pictures of my succulents! I think that the different textures on the surface of these plants is part of what makes them so interesting. The next few posts will be a series showcasing my succulent collection up close, super close!
This is a hybrid Aloe that I received at my second meeting of the New York Cactus and Succulent Society over a year ago. It has some pink coloration and teeth on the edges of the leaves.

Eye trial #1
*Ahh! It’s rare that I am satisfied with my colored pencil works but I really like this one. I figured the first step was getting up close and actually seeing what goes into to drawing eyes. I can only improve from here! Stay tuned.
