Marvel Presents #5. The whole comic is basically the Symbiote trying to get Eddie laid(because they’re low on phenylethylamine), then realizing that what he’s actually attracted to is the Symbiote itself. Eddie agrees to a trip to the Bone Zone with it and there is a “tasteful cut to black” as Eddie says “watch the teeth’.
I really appreciate how the IDW Spider-Man comic has Venom be distinct from Eddie Brock. Eddie is a guy, the symbiote is itself, and Venom is them together. Venom is a team-up, not a guy with a fancy suit. It’s good stuff.
As promised, I am running a mid-year Venom fest in the lead up to World Chocolate Day, July 7 2022.
