New member of the pack arrived! His mom was rescued from a ruthless Amish puppy mill breeder when he decided to reduce his kennel. All pups were born in rescue and all are going to verified caring homes. Their sweet mom has a prospect home as well. But there are over 140 Akitas still waiting for their chance. For some, these majestic dogs are a mere accessory, disposed of when no longer needed. During the summer all rescues are being flooded with dogs dumped by the owners who value their vacation more than another life.
Mimi is now in Georgia Akita Rescue Division’s care. She’s waiting for her forever home along with tens of other dogs (many of these dogs are seniors).
