The mother-in-law’s cushion, otherwise known by the less rancorous names golden barrel cactus and golden ball, is an endangered cactus endemic to Mexico. I might just be reading too much into things, but I have a feeling whoever was responsible for this didn’t care for one of their relations all that much.
