A tiny Warren Worthington blurb

Warren appreciation post

The setting sun was perfectly hitting his face, changing his blonde hair into pure gold, his pale skin was almost shining by reflecting the solar rays and his blue orbs were more beautiful than ever.  An ever so small smile was playing on his lips and with the breeze some of his feathers were slowly moving to the rythm of the wind, as well as some strans of his hair.

A shiver ran through you and your heart tighten at the sight.

-“ I love you” you blurt out warmth and coldness battling in your chest; you were looking at him with adoration.

The angel turned his head to you an the small smile widen to reveal his pearly white teeth and dimples. He bit his lip and sat up before reaching for your hand across the table and took it in his own.

-“ I love you” he whispered taking your hand in his, lifting it to his mouth, pressing a kiss to the back of it, all while looking straight into your eyes.

RIP Stan Lee. A fan once told me that they took a couple of my prints to get signed by him at a con and he was like “These are great!” – And that is basically the highpoint of my career.

Stan created the X-Men (along with Jack Kirby, of course). I consider that to be his most important creation.

Stan Lee understood that readers could look at a group comprised entirely of minority characters and see heroes.

In creating the X-Men, Stan made a space to tell the exploits of minority characters. In their own story. Forever.

They weren’t just Very Special Guests used to help Cap & Iron Man explore themes of minority oppresssion and ostracism.

The X-Men were their own institution from issue #1. As if they were there all along. Stan used his amazing gift for characters to humanize The Other, and gave them all a place in his Marvel Universe to be their authentic, uncanny selves…
