Went to see the amazingly acted play The Caretaker in London and was inspired to draw the character Aston

‘Tis the season! Please say hi to Martin Sturdivant, former park ranger, now the friendliest bunker mermaid. Just don’t ask what he keeps petting under the water. 

Mr. Sturdivant is from T. Kingfisher’s perversely cozy horror novel, The Hollow Places.

The Mold Cape is an early Bronze Age artifact (1900BC-1600BC) beaten out of a single ingot of gold and now held by the @britishmuseum. It was discovered in 1833 by workmen quarrying a burial mound in Mold, Wales. Folklore tells that prior to the discovery of the cape (and skeletal fragments, now lost), the figure of a young woman or of a boy would appear near the barrow at night; after the discovery of the cape, the figure was never seen again.
