Happy New Year. Thank you for supporting my work and the ancient craft of hand weaving.

Here are a couple of photos from the traditional warp making process. After each three-day weaving workshop, students are invited to witness and participate in the construction of a new warp.

At the moment, due to current regulations, only one on one lessons are offered. If you are keen to familiarise yourself with traditional looms and techniques then do get in touch :)

My aunt Christalleni -a dressmaker- held sewing and embroidery apprenticeships here in the 1930s. Creative endeavours have always been encased within these walls!

On Saturday the 3rd of April, a morning of warp making will take place at the workshop. Students from the most recent traditional weaving lessons are invited to watch this physical and laborious -but rewarding- process. There are various mechanised methods which can speed up the aforementioned undertaking significantly, but I like to use traditional techniques the most.
